A Fun Wednesday Night!

What a fun night, Loopy Ladies!  We may have not been playing the pipe and banging the drum, but there was a lot of knitting, fun chatter, and snacking going on.  Brownies, cupcakes and dessert, oh my! Nobody complained one bit about the plethora of tasty confections.  They were all so good!!

Judi, thank you so much for hosting the fun.  The tomatoes you served were delicious with their accompaniments.  We all really enjoyed seeing the photos of your family from your trip.  That baby hat you are making for Henry is going to be so cute!  DL, that bag will be all knitted up in no time!  Don't listen to me! ;-)  Your fruit dessert was delicious!  Have a great time visiting your sister!  Wendy, that monster is so cute!  I'm looking forward to seeing him with a face.  That squatty sidekick you are working on is going to be so nice in that yarn.  The cupcakes you made were really yummy. (The family loved them too!) Judy, I have such yarn envy that it isn't even funny.  That yarn that you are knitting with is gorgeous!  I'm so glad that you joined us last night!  Your naughty bunny story really cracked me up!

Dawn and Ingrid, we missed you guys!  Happy Birthday to Rich!  Dawn, we hope you all had a fun celebration.  Ingrid, hope you are having fun in NH!

We are all a little up in the air about the date of next week, as a lot of us can't come Wednesday due to the big first day.  We'll see what DL figures out when she gets back.

Hope everyone has a great long weekend!  Happy Knitting!
Kathleen  :-)

Wednesday's recap

I don't know about you but I just love eating knitting nights. They are so productive. If not in knitting then in laughs and good company!

Thanks again Ingrid for hosting. You are the hostess with the mostest!!! You also had the most projects out tonight. I think you were the winner!!!! (Not that we are being competitive!!) I hope when you are camping you'll get all caught up on projects like you did last year! I'm jealous you'll have all the time off. In case I didn't mention it, I have to go back to work LOL!!!

Dawn, as always, I was happy to help. I find unknitting quite relaxing *smile*. I hope when we meet again to see a nice amount of that sweater done! It is going to be beautiful. Those mittens you shared were lovely. I think it would be an easy pattern to create.

Wendy, I was glad to see you this week. Your socks are cute! I love the little monster guy!! I look forward to seeing it with a face next time. I'm sure the purse will be done as well! I hope you didn't find offense in some of our conversation tonight. We sometimes are pretty open and talk about most anything! I apologize if it was a bit too much.

Judi, Judi, Judi....loving your bag. Wendy's idea to felt the swatch was a great one. I am sure it will be perfect. I'm really interested in seeing how it turns out. You are right. You are a fast crocheter!!

Kathleen, I hope the night was a nice one for your Mom. Tell her we said Happy Birthday!!! We missed you.

I'm not sure which project I'll start next. Who knows I might actually finish that red sock!!!

Next week is at Judi's. I'll be spending it with my honey celebrating his big day!

See you in two weeks!

take care,
Dawn

Pizza for Ewe!

Ingrid thanks for offering your home. Your living room looks just lovely. I love the shade of paint you used. Hmmmm, maybe that's the color I want for my kitchen! The painting is just so lovely. I wish it were as easy for me to decorate.

Speaking of lovely, the yarn you are using for the wrist yarn holder is a gorgeous shade of blue!!! I expect to be seeing you use it next week :) :) Thanks for the salad. It was delicious!!!

Kathleen, the fetching is very pretty with your redo. It looks like you will be done in time for the big give away!! The details really show up nicely with the newer yarn. Tell the youngin' it was nice seeing her tonight :) Those pita chips were so tasty! I liked the browned ones the best!

Dawn L, the colors for that sweater are just so gorgeous. I really love the green and purple. Oh, it's going to be beautiful!!! Your cake disappeared quickly!

I think I'm putting the scarf on hold and starting something new this week. I need a break from it. :)

It was a nice mellow evening tonight. :) :) :)

Judi I hope you are enjoying that grand baby of yours! We missed you.

Wendy we missed you too. I hope you and hubby were able to enjoy spending his birthday together. (I'll be doing that on the 27th too....only with my hubby not yours LOL!)

For those who couldn't make it we talked about the coffee cup cozy swap tonight and are hoping to put the plan into action when we can all get together in September.

Ingrid volunteered her home next week. Thanks Ingrid. See you then.

take care,
Dawn K

Wednesday night snacks

Hi girls!

I have to take Tim to my mother's on Wednesday because Rich has a doctor's appointment so I thought I would stop at my favorite pizza place and pick up pizza for snack/dinner.

I've made a poll. Look over to the right------------------->
and cast your vote!

Ohhhhh Rob!!!!

Oh you ladies make me laugh. :) It was a fun night! Thanks Judi for hosting. I hope you have a fun and safe trip. I am looking forward to seeing pictures of that new baby! I'm sure the sixth try of that blanket will be a charm :) :)

Kathleen I really love that skull bag. I think it looks great. I'm sure Miss Birthday girl loves it! I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to look at the socks you made. Don't get too stressed over those fetching. You are a great knitter and I am sure they will look just lovely!

Dawn, YAY! You are keeping some socks for your self. Both pairs I saw tonight were great. I still vote for a cream colored toe! :)

Ingrid, I liked Kathleen's idea for your toe. The colors are great. Now, that's the way to make a sock...a quick little ribbing and then on to the foot!!

I am hoping to get the sweater done by next week. I also want to start one of those scarfs for the kids. :)

Thanks for good food, good times and good friends!

See you next Wednesday at Ingrid's.

take care,
Dawn K

Hi all, just asking if I can do fruit on Wed? If someone already bought fruit, I can switch easily. Maybe give me a call on my cell if it's Wed. when you read this. (edited so no internet freaks call Judi's house....DK)
No pictures yet of Henry!! I can't even get a phone call, they take this parenting stuff pretty seriously. I di talk to my son tonight, and they are doing well. I have frogged the baby blanket for the 4th time, I might just buy one on the way to Minnesota!

See you tomorrow evening. Judi
