Last night's light show

I found this on line this morning about all the emergency vehicles we saw last night.

Route 6A crash kills dog, injures drivers

May 24, 2007
BREWSTER — A head-on crash on Route 6A yesterday evening killed a dog in one of the cars and sent the two drivers to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening, police and fire officials said.

In an unusually busy night, rescue personnel were returning from medical and fire calls when summoned at 8:40 p.m. to Route 6A east of Holly Avenue, where the two cars collided and a third car hit a tree to avoid the crash, Fire Chief Roy E. Jones III said.

Both drivers in the head-on crash, a man and a woman, were taken to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, Jones said.

The dog, who belonged to the woman, died at the scene because of its injuries, he said.

The names of the drivers and other details were not available from police at press time last night because a police report on the incident was still being completed, a police dispatcher said.

Route 6A was closed for about an hour because of the crash, Jones said.

How sad :(

take care,
Dawn

That is terribly sad. :( My heart sunk when I read about the poor pup, especially after all of our talk about dogs last night. I feel bad for everyone involved. It's so sad that this happened. Kathleen

Wow, that was a lot of hoopla and lights! Sad about the doggie. I often wondered why no one ever invented seat belts for dogs? Maybe I'll apply for a patent. Judi
