OK....here it is! Don't laugh too hard...I had a lot of fun...oh yeah, if you have any photos of our float Judi, would you mind sharing them with me? Thanks.
AND...I am still having trouble with that little scarf...whats wrong with me???
Well, thanks to Judi the parade was a total sucess for me.. and I was SOOOO happy to see her!! It was tons of fun! AND...Dawn, you did an amazing job on this blog.I am very impressed! So...hopefully I will get my hands on some good photos..and MAYBE post them! Happy knitting!
I thougth I would share a couple of pictures of the poncho I made for Mackenzie for her birthday last September. I never thought to take a picture after I made it. When she came over on Saturday wearing it I grabbed the camera. I think that it will fit her at least another year. :)
Tonight I began a knitting project using Homespun yarn and decided to wind the yarn into a ball, even though technically I think you can start knitting straight from the skein. Thank goodness I did! I'm not sure if I pulled the wrong end or what, but I ended up with a huge, twisted mess that I have spent most of this evening trying to sort out. If I had started knitting, I'd be crying right now! Dawn, I don't even think your winding contraption could get me out of this one! I have a little more untangling to go, but I'm giving up for the night.
I decided to make a Prayer Shawl for my MIL for Mother's Day. It has some nice cards that you can print out and give with it. I actually came across the cards first, which gave me the whole idea.
Now onto a good night's sleep so I can tackle the tangles tomorrow. (Say that 5x fast.) Kathleen
Well, this is my first post to a blog, so excuse me for being a novice! As far as the color of the scarf...I will go along with any color chosen...the artist has done an unbelievable job!
AND...Cute, cute, cute for the little puppy! i can't wait to meet Sophie?!?!?
Yeah!!! The logo has been digitized! Thanks Kathleen for drawing it! He sewed it out Friday night & it's ready for every one's review on Wednesday.
Because the scarf was so small, it was difficult for him to make it a stripped scarf, so we thought that everyone in our group could have their "own" sheep by each of us choosing a scarf color.
Because Kathleen was the 'artist' I let her have first dibs and she has chosen Lavender as her scarf color. Dawn (K) I think is leaning towards sage green? Post on this thread what color scarf you would like to claim as your own - that way when every we put the logo on it, yours will be unique to you :)
I have a thread chart that I will bring on Wednesday - there are over 400 colors, so that if you say 'blue' you can actually pick which shade suits your fancy (also more than one person can pick the same color because there are so many different shades)
so far we have...
Kathleen - Lavender Dawn - Sage (correct me if I'm wrong) Ingrid - red Dawn Judi Pam
A woman is knitting as she drives (which is totally unsafe, and I don't advocate it). Pretty soon, her speed has crept all the way up to 95 mph--and she passes a parked police car. The car gives chase. Officer Bob turns on his siren, but the woman, oblivious, doesn't notice him. Finally, he pulls up alongside her car and yells, "Pull over! PULL OVER!"
She looks at him, looks at her knitting, and yells--
