Where oh where are we Wednesday night?

I guess I'm out of the loop (get it loop...loopyewes LOL!) in knowing where we are meeting this week.

I always have my door open if we need it here.

Maybe one of EWE (I'm on a roll!) will let me know.

Don't be sheepish (I'm killing myself here!)

take care,

Dawn K

Boo!

Hi Loopy Ewes! I thought in the spirit of Halloween, I would post a photo of some spooky creatures that I finished over the weekend. My favorite girl has named them, "The Boo Bunch". Here we have Blue Boo 1 and Blue Boo 2, knitted up from an awesome pattern by Mochimochi Land, and Fred the Ghost, who looks a little wonky as a result of being heavily improvised, but hopefully his goofy looks will make him loveable. One bat and Fred are flying down to NJ to wish a little witch and Obi Wan Kenobi a Happy Halloween, so here they are to wish you the same before they go.

Happy Halloween, Loopy Ewes!

Better Late Than Never, right?

With all of this clamouring for a recap, I thought I'd post a quickie. (You pipe down there, DK!) ;-) Thanks for last minute hosting last week, Ingrid! We all had a lot of fun at your house. There was a lot of fun snacky food . . . yummy pumpkin spiced dip with pretzels, cheesy popcorn, onion dip and the fabulous pear-ginger cheesecake, courtesy of DL. (So good!) Dawnelle and Bunny Judy made us jealous with the details of their yarn dyeing exploits. Such gorgeous results! We are all so sad that you didn't hand us each a skein as a parting gift. :-( Kidding! (Although maybe I should have kept quiet about that skein that fell into my bag by accident. LOL!) Ingrid, your green bat is so stinkin' cute! I just love how he turned out. DK, you are a market bag machine. Is this the last one? Judy, your sweater is really coming along and looks gorgeous! Dawnelle, I love how those socks are knitting up out of that bright happy yarn. They are going to be awesome! Wendy, I didn't see what you were working on, but I hope it's going well. Who says you can't cast on clogs at knitting night? Everyone?!? Well, you were right guys. I haven't touched those puppies again since. Ei-yi-yi!  Judi, we missed you and hope that your sleep study wasn't too awful.

Hey, Flippin' Cozy Party People! Just a little reminder. . . T-minus 2 weeks until the swap on November 5th! Any questions, concerns, or friendly messages? Feel free to email me.

I hope you guys have fun tonight at knitting night! Eat some yummy snacks and laugh a lot for me! K :-)

DK, are you snoozin??? No wrap up of last week's get together? Wow, I need that, it helps me remember what I did last Wed. Oh yeah, I wasn't even there! Hope all is well. Who is coming to my place this week? I'm makeing a dessert! See you then. JN

Hey Loopies, thanks for the birthday wishes. I got tickets to the symphony last Sat, and it was a Beatlemania. Such fun, we danced and whooped it up.
In case I don't get all of you, I am unable to host tomorrow night, and Ingrid has offered to be hostess. I am having a sleep study all night, to see if I have apnea. Good times! See you all next Wed. I see that Kathleen offered next week so I can do the next Wed. Whatever is good. I am working like a slave on my "flippin' coffee cozy", what a hoot. See you! JN

We came, we ate, we knit!

That about sums up the night, last week and this week. (LOL!)
It was nice to see you all tonight. I am absolutely stuffed!!! Ingrid you missed the apple crisp. It was so good. The banana bread was very good too. Thank you Wendy. Thanks for the to go bags as well :).
I don't know about the rest of you, but knitting for me was slow going tonight. I hope I'm the only one who felt that way.
Dawn L I hope you get your project finished!
Kathleen, I didn't even see what you were working on but it looked like you were on a roll. Wendy I hope your little one gets her pink monster soon. :) I am looking forward to seeing your bag felted.
Judi you go girl on that scarf!!
I guess since everyone is gone, I'll call it a night and go to bed!

Knit Picks Anyone? (Revisited)

Hello Loopy Ewes!

Wendy and I have been plotting a Knit Picks order, and we're wondering if there are any last minute takers who need anything (needles, yarn, more needles, more yarn :-) ). It seems like we'll have to place an order now and another one more towards the middle of October. If you'd like to order something sooner rather than later, please leave a comment with the details or send me or Wendy an email or message on R by Monday or so.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
Kathleen
